20 Fun Bridal Shower Games Guests Will Love
When my best friend announced she was getting married, I knew I had to organize her bridal shower. The catch? I had never been to one before. Thankfully, my friend’s mother and the other bridesmaids were incredibly supportive and guided me through the process. They explained the typical flow of events and helped me understand what needed to be done. When we split up the responsibilities, I was thrilled to be assigned the task of planning games with another bridesmaid.
I really enjoy games and thought I could plan them for the bridal shower without making any mistakes. I did a lot of research, looking at Pinterest boards, blogs, and asking for suggestions. I gathered a lot of game ideas, narrowed them down, and ended up using many of them at the bridal shower. The games were a big hit, enjoyable, and had everyone laughing. Some were simple to set up. Here is the list of 20 bridal shower games I came up with, and I’m happy I saved them. I will definitely use them again for future bridal showers.

I wanted to learn all about bridal showers, so I read this helpful post. Here is the list of games I compiled after doing some research.
Sentimental & Sweet Bridal Shower Games
The games at the bridal shower were really special and heartfelt. They allowed everyone to express their love, share laughter, and offer some wisdom to the bride.
Date Night Jar
Create a small station with blank cards and a jar labeled “Date Night Ideas.” Encourage guests to jot down unique and enjoyable date night suggestions for the couple to enjoy post-wedding. Afterward, gather around and take turns reading them out loud, sparking a lively discussion. There may be some ideas that resonate with the bride and inspire her to give them a shot.
Advice for the Bride
This one ended up being a combination of insightful life lessons and comical marriage advice. Attendees shared their words of wisdom, which the bride then shared with everyone. Some messages were touching, such as “Make sure to always say ‘I love you’ before going to sleep, no matter what.” Others were more lighthearted, like “Don’t ever allow your partner to shop for groceries on an empty stomach.”
During the wedding reception, one of the guests shared some advice she had learned after being married for 30 years. She mentioned that it’s important to choose your battles wisely, and suggested that if your partner loads the dishwasher incorrectly, sometimes it’s best to just overlook it. The bride found this particularly amusing, as she was aware that her groom was not very skilled at loading the dishwasher.
Memory Lane
The game at the party was really touching. Everyone shared a personal or amusing anecdote about the bride, and she had to figure out who wrote each one. The memories ranged from childhood stories to crazy college escapades to simple everyday moments.
A guest recalled a time when they got lost on a road trip and stumbled upon a wedding. The bride quickly identified the author as it was one of their most humorous memories.
Another memory that stood out was when her mom shared a heartfelt story about the day she was born. Her mom recounted how she tried everything to soothe her crying baby, but nothing worked until she wrapped her in her dad’s old sweatshirt. This touching memory left everyone feeling deeply moved.
The games at the bridal shower added a special and heartfelt touch. They allowed the bride to share laughter, memories, and valuable advice that she will treasure for a lifetime. Including these games is a great way to personalize the bridal shower and make it truly special.
Drinking & Social Bridal Shower Games
The drinking games at the bridal shower were a blast. Everyone was laughing, enjoying their drinks, and having a great time. Let me give you the lowdown on how they played out.
Sip If…
Playing games with strangers can be awkward at first, but this game really helped break the ice. I had a list of activities to do, including:
As people shared anecdotes with each sip, we all burst into laughter. It was a great icebreaker and helped everyone unwind and start conversations.
Bride or Groom?
The game was adorable. Prior to the shower, I interviewed the bride and groom individually, asking them questions such as: What do you love most about each other? Who initiated the relationship? What is your favorite type of date night?
As I read the responses to the guests, they had to figure out if it was the bride or groom who said it. Some answers were obvious, like the groom’s comment about how long it takes for the bride to get ready but it being worth it. Everyone immediately recognized it as his response. However, there were some that were more difficult to guess. For example, when the bride mentioned how both of them enjoy late-night Taco Bell runs, we all assumed it was the groom.
The person who answered the most questions correctly received a prize at the conclusion.
Sparkling Water Pong
This version of the game is designed to be safer than the original. Fill some glasses with sparkling water or other beverages that everyone agrees on. Split into two teams and try to bounce a ping pong ball into the other team’s glasses. If the ball lands in a glass, the opposing team has to drink it. The team with the most glasses at the end wins.

Interactive & Funny Bridal Shower Games
What’s in Your Purse?
I had so much fun with this game! I came up with a list of items that could be found in a purse, some typical and some really out there. Lip balm was worth 1 point, sunglasses 5 points, gum 10 points, and anything crazy like a banana or a sock was worth 20 points (and yes, someone had a sock!). One guest even had a little screwdriver in her purse (I have no idea why), and we all cracked up. The person with the most points won a scented candle as a prize.
Bloom Pass
It was similar to playing musical chairs, except instead of sitting down, we passed a bouquet around while music was playing. When the music stopped, whoever was holding the bouquet had to answer a fun question about the bride. Some of the questions I enjoyed were: What is the bride’s preferred ice cream flavor? (Hint: it’s cookies and cream) Where did the bride and groom first meet? What is one thing the groom adores about the bride? We all discovered many adorable details and there was a lot of laughter.
Wedding Pictionary
I created small pieces of paper with wedding-themed terms such as “first dance,” “bride’s veil,” “throwing the bouquet,” and “wedding cake”. Afterwards, groups were given 60 seconds to sketch while their team members tried to guess the word. There was a moment when a girl attempted to draw “Honeymoon” by drawing a sun with stick figures, which no one was able to guess, but we all burst into laughter. On the other hand, someone else drew a flawless wedding cake, and everyone guessed it right away.
Bridal Emoji Pictionary
This activity was quite challenging but also very enjoyable. I created a list of wedding-themed phrases written in emojis, such as (Bride to Be), (Cutting the Cake), and (First Dance). Guests had to decipher them, and I must say, some of them had a tough time. One person mistook a phrase for wedding vows, but it was actually cold feet. The group that guessed the most correctly received a small spa kit as a prize.
Wedding Word Scramble
This game is quick and highly competitive. Create jumbled wedding-related words to play.
Have everyone try to solve as many puzzles as possible in 2 minutes while wearing a thinking cap. This game is a great way to calm down the party and help everyone relax.
Acting & Icebreaker Bridal Shower Games
These games were incredibly enjoyable and got everyone involved, laughing, and bonding. If you’re looking to add some energy to your bridal shower, be sure to include these games.
Bridal Charades
Create a pile of cards that feature different actions related to weddings, such as:
Guests will take turns acting out gestures without talking while the rest of the group tries to guess. Laughter will ensue, making for a fun and enjoyable time for all.
Love Song Lyrics
In this game, one person needs to recite well-known love song lyrics using a very mechanical and devoid of emotion voice, while the other players try to guess the song.
You can add some excitement by implementing a rule: whoever correctly guesses the song must sing a line from it.
Bride’s Bingo
This activity is ideal for the gift-opening portion of the event as it helps to keep all guests entertained. Distribute bingo cards with various squares before the bride begins unwrapping presents.
While the bride was unwrapping her gifts, the guests were filling in their squares. The individual who fills up five squares in a row first must shout out “Bingo”. It’ll be entertaining to see everyone glance around to see who claims the win.
Competitive Bridal Shower Games
If you’re looking for a fun and lively bridal shower, these games are the perfect choice. Everyone was really enthusiastic about participating, and the friendly competition added an extra level of excitement to the event.
Make a Wedding Dress
To participate in this activity, divide into teams and choose a member to act as the “bride.” The teams must then work together to design a beautiful wedding dress using only toilet paper within a time limit of five minutes. Once time is called, each “bride” will model the dress in a fashion show, and the real bride will select her favorite design.
The Price is Right: Wedding Edition
This game is a great way to see who really understands the high costs of weddings. Create a list of items typically found in weddings along with their actual prices. Guests must then try to guess the cost without exceeding it, similar to the concept of the TV show.
One option is to use certain items, such as:
The individual who makes the most accurate guess will receive a small reward.
Wedding Movie Trivia
If you enjoy romantic comedies, then this game is perfect for you. Compile a list of well-known quotes from wedding-themed movies and some fun facts, and challenge your guests to guess which movie each quote is from.
Photo & Instagram-Worthy Bridal Shower Games
Bridal Photo Hunt
It became a fun competition to see who could take the best selfies. I came up with a list of entertaining challenges to spice things up.
After I gave everyone the list, they all started rushing around to finish it. One person even joined a random group photo just to cross off “take a picture with three people.” The bride ended up with a bunch of funny photos thanks to this game.
Strike a Pose
Create a photo booth space at your wedding and include entertaining props like:
At the party, guests are encouraged to reenact the traditional gesture of proposing after catching the bouquet. By the time the event is over, everyone will have plenty of fun and silly pictures to share on Instagram.
Guess the Dress
This activity was a hit. I distributed paper and markers, instructing everyone to sketch their ideas of the bride’s wedding dress.
We had a wide range of drawings, including highly detailed sketches and very basic stick figures. Some individuals included:
What was particularly enjoyable was that the bride chose two winners – one for the most accurate and one for the funniest prediction. The funniest prediction was when a guest sketched a huge cupcake-shaped dress and humorously commented, “I just have a feeling this is your style.” (Surprisingly, it was completely opposite of her style, which added to the humor)
